Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnston to Deliver Keynote Address at 4th Annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference

Momentum Builds as Registration Increases and New Program Highlights are Announced

Oregon Wave Energy Trust today announced Oregon State Senator Betsy Johnson is scheduled to deliver the keynote address at the upcoming Ocean Renewable Energy Conference. Senator Johnson will share her vision for repositioning Oregon and the Oregon Coast for the future.

“Senator Johnson has been a consistent leader for Oregon. We’re thrilled that she will be speaking on the state’s efforts to position it and the Oregon Coast for the future,” said Kevin Banister, president, board of directors, Oregon Wave Energy Trust.

In addition, new program highlights have been added, including:

  • Guidelines for the Minerals Management Service Renewable Energy Framework
  • Existing and Future Uses of the Ocean
  • Wave Energy 101
  • Regulatory and Policy Framework

The fourth annual Ocean Renewable Energy Conference hosted by Oregon Wave Energy Trust will be held September 15 – 16, 2009, at the Seaside Convention Center in Seaside, Oregon.
